About the challenge

Welcome to Hack the Concrete Jungle, a global innovation system where culture, creativity, and code collide.

This special LA Tech Week Edition (Oct 15–18, 2025) focuses on IP + Entertainment Ownership — building tools that help creators, artists, and storytellers own their rights, protect their work, and unlock new value through technology.

Our community of developers, designers, founders, and creatives will collaborate on solutions that redefine the entertainment industry — from AI in film and smart royalty systems, to tokenized IP and direct-to-fan revenue models.

Get started Form your team, pick your idea, and build something that turns creativity into equity.
Hack the Concrete Jungle starts October 15.
Let’s make ownership the new algorithm.

Requirements

What to Build

Your challenge is to build technology that empowers creators, artists, and innovators to own their IP, revenue, and data.
This is where entertainment meets real-world ownership.

You can build:
🎬 Smart Royalty Systems → Platforms that track and pay creators instantly.
🎧 Blockchain IP Tools → Verify, protect, and tokenize creative rights.
🎥 AI x Entertainment Apps → Automate editing, licensing, or fan interaction.
💰 Creator Marketplaces → Direct-to-fan revenue + fractional IP ownership.
🌍 RWA Integrations → Connect digital creations to real-world assets (like royalties, streams, or carbon credits).

Build it for real creators — musicians, filmmakers, influencers, athletes — and show how your product changes their ownership story.

What to Submit

To qualify for judging, submit the following on Devpost:

  1. Project Description: A clear overview of your idea and what problem it solves.

  2. Demo Video (2–5 minutes): Show your project in action — walk through features, UI, and real-world use.

  3. Presentation Deck (optional): For teams entering Bloc Lab or seeking investors.

  4. GitHub or Code Repo Link: Include code, design files, or documentation.

  5. RWA or Monetization Plan: (if applicable) Explain how your project connects to real-world assets or creator economics.

  6. Team Members + Roles: Who built what — shout out your crew.
